With some of the post that are going on, I think it would be interesting to see how much film/paper everyone go through in a year (or thinks they use). This should help illustrate that the changes in the market are really not about the fine art photographers, it is the about the lose of high volume users such as government, editorial, newspaper, etc.

This is not intended to cause more fear, but to illustrate that we are a small market and it will most likely be a small market type of company that will supply us in the future.

Plus don't forget, not everyone doing analog photography visits this site - I know, it's hard for me to believe either, they just haven't found their way yet.

Guess the poll is a little off, tried to edit..anyhow..
1st should be 10 or less
2nd should be 20-50
then greater than 50..

Judging from the empty boxes, I use between 150 and 200 sheets of 8x10 a year and about 40 to 60 sheets of 12x20. Sadly not all of them become succesfull photographs.....

I think the question should be "How much film/paper to you abuse in a year"... at least in my case! :D

Used and used well are two different questions but on average about 50-60 IR rolls per year, somewhere between 10-20 BW rolls and with my recent purchase of a holga-some 120's will be in the mix for this coming year also.I'm still trying for the quality over quantity thing in my images with a load of stocked up film in case the reality dosn't reach the goal.

This poll needs a hyper category for the obsessive.

Not to brag and I know quantity and quality are not the same thing, but...
I shoot many hundreds of sheets, over a thousand rolls and buy paper by the roll and print easily a thousand sheets a year.

Since there is no way to indicate that I shoot more than 20 rolls but less than 50 or more than 200 sheets of paper but less than 500, I'll have to abstain.

More than 300 sheets of film in last 6 months (some of us req more practice than others), and less than 300 sheets of paper. :surprised:

Hopefully, as the ol' skills change those stats will be reversed  .
