hi there

i bought a balda camera a little bit ago to replace my now dead mamiya 6.
the shutter needs a cla, but my repair guy wasn't able to get behind the second layer of glass in the lens.

does anyone have experience getting to the inside of the shutter in this lens ?

does the shutter need to be removed from the standard, and the blades gotten to THAT way? what we were able to do was remove the infinity stop and unscrew the front element out, but after that we were stumped ...

any information would be helpful!

thanks in advance!

John, I know you asked to delete the thread, but it seems like good info for the archives. Let's leave it.

I find it pretty hard to believe your repair guy didn't know to unscrew the inner element. (find another!) On some cameras, they can be stuck on pretty good and not have any provision for a spanner wrench.

A flexiclamp tool is ideal to get these off.
