Hello all...

Last year I had an opportunity to teach a basic photography summer school class to 10 - 12 year old students. It was such a success we're hoping to offer a "Part II" this summer.

We're looking to teach basic darkroom skills. My plan is to have my classroom sectioned off into three areas with three 35mm enlargers. Our high school has graciously offered us their enlarger, but I'm still in need of one, maybe two more.

I was wondering if anyone here had an old 35mm enlarger that's just collecting dust and taking up space. I have a small... very small budget to work with so I'm not looking for anything that's too pricey. I realize shipping could be an issue, but I may just have to live with that.

Also, if you have any old 35mm slr cameras with a basic lens, I may be able to buy that too.

I appreciate any help you can give us.

Thanks for your time,

Brian

I can help. I have a couple of 35mm enlargers which you can have for the price of shipping or pickup. I was given an Omega several years ago which was lightly used in a hobbiest darkroom: excellent, near new condition with baseboard and lens but no negative carrier. There's also another Omega, a bit larger, which my daughter used years ago for 35mm but hasn't used for probably ten years, complete including a couple of negative carriers. I also have a small, inexpensive student enlarger, good for enlarging 35mm up to 8x10 prints, which was my first enlarger. I currently use Beseler enlargers and don't need these others. I'm in Elkhart, IN: the center of the state on the Michigan border, 13 miles east of South Bend. E-mail is probably the best way of contacting me, if you are interested.

Kudos to MJS!!!

I've got a Beseler, here in NJ, but the shipping to you would be prohibitive (Its also not 100% complete)...It looks like mjs is your Zorro today! You can probably pick them up from him and save a bundle...

Good luck with the class.

Yes, mjs has certainly helped us out. My students are really going to be excited about this. I couldn't ask for more of an ideal offer.

Thanks a BUNCH!
