Hello APUG community. I introduced myself in the equipment forum, but then saw that I should have done it here first, so here goes...
I'm Valerie. I live in Huntsville AL. I am a soon to be divorced mother of 2 children(10yo ds & 6yo dd). I consider myself an advanced amateur, with a deep passion for photography. I pretty much eat, sleep & breathe creativity, which can interfere with my full time job @ times LOL!
I currently shoot Minolta 35mm, a little Holga 120 & sometimes use my dad's Yashica G. I love film, always have always will. Many friends/family have been attempting to force me into digital, but as a software tester(full time job) I really hate the thought of working with a software program at a computer for several hours to "create" something after spending my time shooting. I love film!! Did I say that already? Anyway, I recently started processing my own b&w film in my homemade darkroom & hope to share with you all soon. I have already learned so much from this community & other photogs, but there's always more to learn. One thing I have learned so far is that the photog community is very generous. I was basically given all my darkroom equipment from another photog & the advice & guidance I have been given along the way has been priceless. Now its my turn to pay it forward & help others. So maybe there will be one or two questions I can answer for someone here.
Ok thats the end of my long intro.
Have a great day
