Discovering this forum is like waking up on Christmas morning -- and I'm still nine years old. Cool stuff.
I'm wondering how many of us "discovered" APUG.ORG thanks to the B&W article?
As background: I'm a 35mm shooter (Nikon F100 -- but still have the FM around as the backup) still shooting Tri-X, but I've "advanced" to TMAX some recently, so I guess I'm being dragged into the 1980s. Have the ol' Omega D-2 warmed up in the darkroom and the smell of fix is indelibly embedded in my clothing (not to mention my pores). There is nothing more nirvana than printing in the darkroom at 2 a.m. with Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd cranked up on the stereo.
My teen-aged son thinks I'm nuts. But he likes the prints I make.
Very glad to be here.
