Hey all,
thought I'd post a new thread on this one.I have no clue who has or who hasn't sent stuff to Aggie for the photo availibility in their area.Nor did Aggie
ask me to do this but I thought this may help.I also don't know if this works the world either. The easiest way I found to get the info was to do a
business search on mapquest.com for camera shops/stores for a given city.
Of course, the more cities in the same area, the more overlap but I found it to work quik and easy for me.Found many stores in my area that I never knew existed.Hope this helps someone.

Thank's Jim, I really appreciate the plug. This afternoon I take the big step and pay for the incorporation. So as they say, I am putting my money where my mouth is. We have a lot of things coming soon to help reaise operating funds before the subscription/membership drive begins. One is a coupon booklet that many vendors are offering great discounts and other incentives in. I am even including subscription forms for Lenswork, Black and White (UK) and hopefully B&W (USA). They are great magazines, and we can all share the audience.

I will be having an auction of prints by several well known photographers. Les has already said he will donate a print. I am waiting to hear back form 4 more. Thom is contacting several of the people he knows. Should be good for all.

It's all coming together, and it may be towards the end of Jan the first Issue goes out, but we will get on track after that. If there is enough interest, it will end up bimonthly. Right now it is planned for quarterly.

I guess I missed something. Can you explain what is going on? Is there an online database planned with stores? And is it exclusively US or all over the world?

I'm gathering information around the world of as many retailers of film based photography goods. I also would like to list repair places, rental darkrooms, galleries, etc. Jorge even suggested listing photographers in the areas.

What this data base will do is give everyone a quick reference to any place in the world, to see if when they are traveling, will they be able to find film or other needs. It is going to be on the emulsion magazine web site, free to all. Our emulsion foundation will be non profit.

Anyone who wants to help just PM me with your email address, and I will send you the template for ease of gathering information. I figure it will never be complete, since it will have to be updated periodically.

BTW We have Sean on our board of directors. He has done such a wonderful job with apug, and the idea for the magazine was started here, so he deserves to be on it.
