Hello Scottie here; I have always enjoyed taking snapshots, but decided to buy a real
camera about 6 years ago. My first SLR was a second-hand Olympus OM10, after a year
or so with it I bought my current camera a Nikon F80.
I use the stock Nikor 28-80 lens, ancient Sigma 70-210 APO lens, a variety of filters,
and dedicated flashgun.
For snapshots I use an Olympus C160 Camedia digital compact or an old Olympus Trip
35 a camera which has something of a cult following - not surprising as it takes pin sharp
pictures.
Due to illness I have hardly taken any pictures for the past 2 years, but I am over the
worst and plan to concentrate on using slide film and scanning the slides onto the
computer.
I live in North Ayrshire the area has plenty of good scenery harbours/marinas etc. many
photographers have no doubt seen photos of thePencil at Largs surely one of the most
photographed monuments in the UK!.
