I have been enjoying Apug for a few months now, and think it's about time I introduced myself I'm Bentley Boyd and I stumbled on Apug one day while looking for some information about my Mamiya TLR system, and I'm very glad I did. My interest in photography has been almost lifelong. I am happy to be an amateur, and be able to please myself, although in the past I have done freelance work, and was the manager of a photographic store for about twenty years. I retired about six months ago and am enjoying every minute of it. I shoot mainly slides these days both 35mm and 6x6 on Fuji Velvia, Provia100f and Astia on Mamiya C 330f and Canon FD cameras and lenses .

Jeanette, I think my parents wanted an up market car , and finished up with me!
Dave, driver's the right word, I was once using my 330f with the 180mm lenses and bellows extended, and was asked by a passer by if it was a camera on my tripod or a F****** Land Rover.
Anyway thanks everyone I know I will enjoy your company
Ben.

Whoops! A bit late, nearly missed this one! Greetings Bentley, and welcome to APUG.

I'm based a ways west of you and also (as of a month or two ago) drive a C330. It's good to have another Brit on board to help keep these damn uppity colonials in order!

Look forward to seeing you around the forums,

All the best,

Frank

Ah - another new member to the "old retired guys" club. Welcome!

I made the retirement move last December, and I have found that retirement is absolutely exhausting. So you have to take a vacation from time to time, do a little photography, etc. It's an ugly job, but someone has to do it.

I meant do you put them in slide mounts? use a projector? 6x6 projectors here are a little hard to get a hold of. I have some great 6x6 slides but so far just keep them in sleeves in a folder. My kids love to watch (35mm) slides projected onto the wall.
