Hi all, my name is Patrick, I got my first camera in December 2004, at 35 years old. It was a digital one (Fujifilm S7000). I shoot over 6000 pictures in the following 12 months, I learned a lot, and I made a bunch of mistakes. Being not "overall satisfied" with my digital, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 from a co-worker, for few bucks (she was laughing at me when I paid her). I shoot 3 rolls of film and got hooked. I went to the photo store, bought a tank, 2 reels, a developer and a fixer and processed those 3 rolls, without prior course or formation of any kind. I got more hooked. I surfed the web to find a nice group of photographers, but they were all digitals and "gadget-o-maniacs".
Finally, I found APUG and I got more hooked another time. I am learning a lot here, and I hope that some day, I will be able to pass my knowledge to others to pay my debt. Peoples here have some much to offer to me, and I have so few to give back.
I am doing a lot of landscapes, glamours and artistic nudes (thanks to my wife, she is always ready to serves as a model even if she knows that I am not a pro).
To make a long story short, I am happy to be here, I feel at home.
Regards,
Patrick Latour
