Here we go...again!

First, VMT to those of you who replied to my first post on this subject.

I have found, on the Kodak web site, information relating to the difference between HC-110 Developer and HC-110 Replenisher. Specifically, the information shows the difference between pH and SG for both solutions, for the "A" dilution.

To calculate how much more water is required to bring the Replenisher to the same SG as the Developer is easy, using a simple formula. What I can't calculate is how much acid (acetic acid is what I am thinking of using) is required to change the pH of the Replenisher.

I suspect that I would need to know the pH of acetic acid, and there would be a formula which would allow me to make said calculation(s). What I dimly remember of my high school chemistry is that the ammount is based on the number of "moles" of acid required. Do I have that right?

BTAIM, if any of the readers of this post can help with these calculations, I would appreciate any input you can provide. I have a lot of the Replenisher available, so if I "blow it" on my first few tries, I won't shed any tears over spilled developer!

TTFN!

The calculation is not that easy. It's just most accurate and easiest to titrate to the target pH and measure how much acid was needed. But acid is a minor part of the starter compared to bromide content.
