I have quite a number of 52mm filters that I would like to use on my hassy 80mm lens with the bay 50 - would I have a problem with vignetting by using a bay 50 to 52mm step up ring on an 80mm lens?

cheers,
Mike

Mike I have not seen any vignetting, even with two b&w filters on. So you should be fine. The only problem I have acquired is my lens hood wouldn't fit over my hoya bay50 to 52mm adapter.

My 80mm lens is bay 60. My older 150 and 250mm lenses are bay 50 but on my 80 and 50mm lenses I use a 67mm filter. What gives? Did they change the size somewhere along the line?

Yup, The older lenses were bay 50, newer are 60. It's been so long I don't remember when it happened though.

Thanks for the info. Anybody know where I can get a Bay 50 lens shade?
