I have been considering exchanging my hasselblad for a rolleiflex or similair TLR for its compactness and lightness. I had an offer to trade my hasselblad 500CM with 80CFT, A12 back, and polaroid back for a Rolleiflex 3.5E , recent CLA. How much do these particular rolleiflexes go for? Do you think this is a fair trade?

The Hasselblad kit you have will fetch about three times as much as a good, clean 3.5E.

In Australia, a really good 3.5 can fetch around $800.00. The 'Blad that you have should sell for around $1,000.00, not too much difference. No question that you need both, can't have too many cameras you know!

No Plain and simple.
I agree with Tony, just buy out right.
I have "MCD"
Multiple Camera Disorder, a sometimes socially acceptable illness if you work a 12 step program.

I'd say the Hassy outfit is worth almost twice the Rollei...

Note that it isnt in mint condition. There is a little bit of bayonet damage due a graflex hood from the previous owner and i dont think the back's inserts match. Also paint loss on the WLF.

Well, it seems that you want to hear a special thing and that you are waiting for the answer that you allready have in your mind but which you don't want to be responsible for. So: there is no good reason to fall in love with another women - even if you might recognise, that she has gained a little weight here and there and that she has some other little special habits, which you usually really didn't notice. But here comes the young, fresh girl and you stop thinking with your brain. Well - what is to say: you fell in love and you try to find arguments why you really should leave your wife and go with this nice, young dark haired girl! You see- its the same with cameras with the only difference - you can get as many as you like without getting into emotional trouble. The only problem is that you might not be able to afford both - so you have to decide. But you will miss one , no matter how you decide in the end. Short: Its a matter of love and faith and decision which no one really can take away from you. Fight it out and don't look for brain fu**** reasons ;-))) Good luck - Frank
(Well, I got both - would never, never want to miss one of my beloved ones...)
