Flotsam-you might want to try Professional Camera Repair in NYC. 212-382-0550
You didn't say what you are wanting to fix. They do it all;35mm,MF,and I've had my LF lenses checked and CLA'd there. Very competent.Fix stuff all day for pros. Fred Picker used to send his lenses there once a year for the old checkup. I recently sent a 16" R.D.Artar to CameraWiz in Virginia. Turnaround was 1 week. Simply amazing. Can't find the number but they are in Harrisonburg, VA. That's where Michael Smith sends his stuff.
Regards, Peter
Oh yeah-no I never heard of that outfit.

I second that. I'm not sure if they moved or not but they used to be a couple of floors above Ken Hansens. They were (at that time) completely unkown to anyone not in the bitness.

Are you sure? Are we talking about what was formerly Marty Forscher's Professional Camera Repair? They closed a few years ago. There was an article in the NYT about it, and discussions all over the net. There were some really good threads over on photonews.net about Professional when it closed. It was a great place.

As I remember, Forscher's was pretty well known for making modifications. I used them once many years ago.

I have a RTS II and motor that needs a major CLA. I ran across these guys web site by googling "contax repair" and they are located down in the swamps of Jersey, close enough to drop off/pick up for me.

I wonder where Contax Authorized Service will end up? Parsippany?
