Has anybody tried ECN-2 developer kit from QWD?

Here's the next roll, 50D. Still dealing with the "snow".

Olympus EE-2 (half-frame), Vision3 50D, 1/40 sec, F3.5 (manual mode)

Zoomed in, 3600 DPI:

....and we've hit the end of the line. Developed some 50D last night, and I can't believe how thin the negatives are! (The scanner darkened them somewhat, but along with my admittedly over-developed TMAX-400 you get the point

However! ..
..
..

Look at what my scanner was able to pull from them:

Detail at 3600 DPI

Color accuracy is still impressive:

I also developed a roll of 500T, which I've yet to scan. Looks just as thin.

That's 14 rolls, or, 12 uses with great results. I don't know if it's weak due to age, use, or (probably) both. I mixed this in last October was it? 7 months!

In the future, if I purchase it again I'll try to use it up in <6m and stop at 12 rolls. That's a bargain for $50. Thanks QWD!

I mixed up my new kit this weekend. I purchased it in January from Freestyle and I'm wondering if I let it sit too long. The developer had about 1/2 teaspoon of brown flakes and looked like this after running through a coffee filter. is it any good or do I need to start over with a new kit?

Same thing happened to me as well. I ran it thru a coffee filter to remove the flakes. It didn't seem to affect the performance.

I read somewhere else that if you keep stirring, they'll eventually dissolve. I guess they're oily?

I noticed that the QWD website is down (quietweredreaming.com), and Freestyle has all the QWD kits on Clearance.

Has QWD called it quits, or perhaps they're rebranding again?

I recently mixed my QWD kit and my developer also had dark and light flecks in it. I ran it through a filter and developed my first roll and it looked fine. A few weeks went by before I tried it again and the developer had more flecks in it. I used it anyway and the roll seemed to process fine.

In the end, I think I like the results better in C41 anyway.

I wonder too. Other kits are being offered for even less than the QWD kits on clearance.
