I have a Gundlach 4X5 camera on the way from a fellow APUG member and plan on using it although since it is a very old camera (1920s) I also am interested in getting a lens that would have been on the lens when it was new. I found this lens on eBay, and was wondering if anyone had heard of it or used one of them. The seller didn't know a lot about it since it was a consignment item but said it is basically a convertible lens and as you turn the front it changes in "telephoto" strength and also changes coverages, basically I think it will cover from 8X10 all the way down but has to be set on the right "tele" setting to supply an image circle big enough.

Any insight into this old lens would be helpful in making my decision to buy it or not. Thanks!
