Bostick and Sullivan is having a sale on Hydrogen Tetrachloroaurate Trihydrate (aka Gold Chloride) solutions until January 15, 2006.

All gold products qualify, and there is absolutely no minimum purchase, just use coupon code goldspec on the B&S website and receive a 33% discount. Enter the coupon code in the box at the very bottom of the shopping cart page to activate the discount. Please note that coupon codes are case sensitive.

If you prefer to call our office to place an order, please mention the APUG gold chloride special.

slight update

I want to thank those that have already taken advantage of this sale.

I overlooked the fact that there is gold chloride in our POP/Vandyke/Argyrotype/Kallitype Gold Toning Kit (click for link) . Normally it's $38.50 for a 500 ml bottle of .2% gold chloride and a 500 ml bottle of 2% ammonium thiocyanate but the sale price of $25 will last until January 15th. No coupon code is necessary to take advantage of the lower price.

I also wanted to point out our new lower prices on ferric oxalate powder. I make our ferric oxalate in-house and I personally guarantee it's quality. Our competitors' ferric oxalate can be chunky and hard to disolve. Our powder is always a fine yellow powder that disolves completely.

The ferric oxalate I produce will always test negative for the presence of oxalic acid using the standard silver nitrate test. Additionally, it will always test negative for the presence of ferrous oxalate using the ferricyanide test.

The best ferric oxalate on the market is now the lowest priced.

Dana, I've sent a couple e-mails to B&S asking about shipping costs to Canada but I haven't received a response yet. Are shipping rates listed anywhere on your website? (I couldn't find them.)

Jordan,

If you use the online ordering system it will automatically calculate shipping costs to Canada for US mail, FedEx and UPS services to Canada and other foreign countries. You'll have to login and create an account so the web site will know where you are located. If you aren't logged in I don't think it will do shipping calculations.

Generally, a small package (under 2lbs) to Canada via US express mail would be about US$18-20, but there are many variables.

I checked with Melody, she said that she emailed you about shipping costs. Maybe it got stuck in a spam folder or something?

Cheers, Kevin Sullivan
