I’m helping a friend sell his late father’s photo equipment. Dick was an enthusiastic lifelong photographer and a great fan of Fred Picker and Zone VI, so those of you familiar with Fred will recognize some of the equipment he used to recommend in these listings. I’ll be listing the gear a little at a time as I’m able to examine, photograph, and describe it. PayPal (must have a verified address) payments will go directly to my friend, while I’ll be handling the logistics since the gear is at my house to make listing easier. This means shipments might be a day or two slower than you’d expect from me because I’ll have confirm payment for each transaction from my friend. You can help by sending me a screenshot showing your PayPal verified shipping address after you've completed the transaction, that will allow me to get the item ready for shipping sooner. Prices include shipping to addresses in the continental US unless otherwise stated. International sales aren’t out of the question, so don’t be afraid to ask, but keep in mind that the shipping cost could be surprisingly high and I will not ship internationally without insurance and tracking. Asking prices are largely set a little below average prices of completed eBay sales, plus listings on LFPF and Photrio. Please let me know if you think a price is way out of line.

This listing is for Dick's three Schneider large format lenses. I'll separate this into three posts to keep the description and photos together. All three lenses include the original caps and mounting ring, and all are mounted on Toyo 110mm lensboards. Asking prices for each will be given with and without the lensboard. These photos were taken outdoors in the shade under a clear blue sky so everything looks more blue than it really is.

First off is a 210mm f/5.6 Apo-Symmar, serial number 14384xxx, in a Copal 1 shutter. This lens is has a few specks of dust and a couple of spots of Schneideritis. It also has some very faint discolored marks on the front element near one edge, barely visible in the photo that includes my fingers. I don't see any other coating marks or exterior dings or dents. The shutter functions as expected and sounds appropriate on all speeds. If I didn't already have too many 210s I'd want this one for my own use. Asking $400 including insured shipping in the US. Subtract $20 if you don't want the lens board.

Next up, Dick's 120mm f/8 Super-Angulon, serial number 13925xxx, in a Copal 0 shutter. This lens has some minor issues. First, Dick kept all three lenses, his Toyo-View 45A (coming soon), film holders, and ancillary bits stuffed into a backpack that wasn't quite big enough in my opinion. As a result, both front and rear elements have a tiny coating imperfection almost dead center where the caps rubbed against the lens surface as Dick hiked around the southwestern US. The front cell also has a number of very fine scratch marks off to the side - it looks like the surface brushed against a gritty sleeve or something. Finally, there are some discolored spots in the rear coating that I had a bit of trouble photographing. No dents or dings. The shutter functions as expected and sounds appropriate on all speeds. This is a user lens, not a collector's item. You'll get good service from it if you use a good lens shade and avoid aiming into the sun. Given the flaws, we're asking $225 including insured shipping in the US. Subtract $20 if you don't want the lens board.

Lastly, Dick's 90mm f/5.6 Super-Angulon, serial number 14386xxx, in a Copal 0 shutter. This one was also stuffed into the backpack and has a small coating imperfection (not a scratch) about 1mm in diameter dead-center in the front, as well as some areas of minor coating discoloration at the very edges of the rear element. I don't see any other marks, dents, or dings. The shutter functions as expected and sounds appropriate on all speeds. Aside from the one coating mark in front (I don't think the discolored areas on the edges of the rear glass will make a whit of difference), this one's in really nice condition. Asking $400 including insured shipping in the US. Subtract $20 if you don't want the lens board.
