Scoville and Adams Studio Camera. $1100 OBO
Made by them in their American Optical Company factory between about 1889-1899, I believe. Later in life, the company became Ansco. High quality wood with original finish intact. Double extension out to about 63 inches, the back is 8x10, and works with modern holders. However, the entire back measures 17x18 so a larger back could be fitted, and it's very possible later Ansco backs fit. One of the side brass angle mounts has come off, as seen in a photo, but I have it, and it doesn't affect operation. Bellows does need to be repaired on the rear section, but the front section looks good. Also, comes with it's original stand, "The Empire Stand" which I found in a catalog from the era. Great shape overall, with original finish and the all working brass gearing to raise and lower the camera. Comes with one 8x10 holder. Yes, it's big, so I can't ship it. However, I am willing to assist as much as I can.
Jamin Darlot brass lens. I'd estimate it at about 12-14inches. Original finish, with original brass hood. Missing rack and pinion focusing piece, but not needed for normal operation. Nice shape on the glass, with one loose element that I haven't tried to tighten. $750
Want to buy them both? Great kit for a wet plate set up. $1700
Feel free to ask questions. If you're in the area, I encourage you to come over b/c I'm selling a ton of other gear. Thanks!
