What a wonderful thing is the edit button!! My original post has now been zapped, and now floats somewhere inn the far outer universe, perhaps to be read only by Martians and Uranians.

My apology to the OP if he read my comments, for any angst caused. I read before my morning coffee. So. I plead caffeine deprivation!

As I am at least as smart as Brian Shaw (#4- I reckon a lot smarter and certainly more diplomatic, but also modest, so I'll say no more), I will bite the - whatever - and ask: "Who's dollar?"

NB Am seriously looking for a companion Rolleicord Vb for my lone mode, bought last year for A$95, so I again reckon a lot of "let's talk" is in order. Would consider the camera without accessories if the new asking price is right. I have this plan to put the two together in the same camera bag and hope they will take heed and multiply in the night - yay, Baby Rolleis!

In all fairness, my last comments.

The 'cord on offer from the OP appears to be the last model Vb, lacking the M setting (for flash bulbs) and with the 'improved' levers for f/stops and speeds. It may be a mid/late '70s model, and if so then it may be worth that much more on the Rollei used camera market.

Being me, I do wonder why he hasn't yet sold it in Europe or why he is offering free postage on a camera kit worth, on initial viewing, surely more than $500. If all is as stated, it is worth quite a bit more, if one can find 6x9 sheet film in this day and age. It certainly looks to be a very lovely camera and kit.

The Xenar lens looks very clean, and the member has been around since 2007.He tells us he is also shooting 8x10, which is certainly worthy of respect, if only that he can carry his gear around, but surely also for the quality of his images.

So with an open mind I am concluding that this Rolleicord with all the bits may well be worth the asking price, although not from me, the reason being that the Aussie dollah aka the South Pacific Peso is again sinking like the Lusitania off Ireland in 1916, and at 1.3X 'roos (the rate changes every few minutes, so I dare not quote an exact figure) to theYankee buck is not really a savvy the investment for those of us living in the New Third World.

To please the skeptics, may I say that my comments are mere opinions and are offered Without Prejudice. Brian's and others' thoughts may differ. As Doris Day and the French say, que sera sera, and to each their gout.

Now, to quote my French-Canadian ancestors, "ca suffit. No more correspondence or postings will be entered into by the writer on the topic.

You may be suffering from "Rolleicord derangement syndrome".
The newest Vb's are the so-called white-face cameras with Rollei Werke printed at the bottom of the front plate.

I wonder if the M is simply covered by the lever, not missing? That is how the lever works, covering the X or the M. Rather than three syllable words like derangement, a single 'wrong' can suffice.

I should have put a smiley in there, sorry.
I was just trying to do a "clever" play on the latest comrade Trump nonsense.
Need an editor.

Deleted yet again, per my expressed promise in my earlier (last) post.

Only to say, my congratulations to the OP if he has finally flogged off his Rolleicord. Nuff said
