Ive been an admirerer of William B. Posts photography for a very long time now. The snow and lilly pad images Ive seen have always been extremely inspiring and finding a book of his work has been elusive over the last few years.

Found the book "The Quiet Landscape of William B. Post" today for the steal of $20. and the book is exquisite. The book is amazingly printed, especially the cover... nice looking embossed text. Not to mention the wonderful Platinum reproductions.

Thought I would pass on the note.

Thanks for sharing Matt, not aware of his work...always good to hear what others enjoy. There are two books like this on my list right now....Robert Adams "White Churches of the Plains", and Paula Chamlee's "High Plains Farm"..though I have a better chance of getting Paula's book first.

Id love to find a book of some of paula chamlees work... hard to find. especially the high plains farm as well.

this william post book was a book I saw a long while ago in passing .... wanted to purchase a copy and found it at half price books here in austin. was really excited.
I dont usually lean towards the pictorialist photo movement... but william b. posts work really strikes a cord with me for some reason.

Had a look on the web following your message. I do like the high key work that I saw.

Thanks for bringing his name up here Matt. I'd not heard of him before. After doing some research on the web, I found that there will be an exhibit of his work at a museum near me starting in february. I'll be sure to check it out.
