The Fuji website says that CA Type C is optimized for digital printing, but then why do they still sell it in sheets? You can't make digital c-prints on sheet paper can you? I guess just because it's optimized for digital doesn't mean you can't make an optical print, but still. And when did the Type C become optimized for digital? It used to be an optical paper right?

Furthermore, can anyone explain the differences between paper that is optimized for optical printing and paper that is optimized for digital?

Digital printing papers are optimized for the extremely short exposure times of the equipment and also for overlapping lines produced by a digital printer.

If Kodak Ultra Endura is going to be the paper for home RA4 printing going forward, what differences can we expect versus Supra Endura ?
(So far, I've only used Supra Endura N and find it very nice)

You will find the digital papers to be very high contrast.

Hmm... Kodak claim it to be suitable for optical printing... can we control contrast in RA4 ? (I think I read we can't)

The sell sheet makes Ultra sound quite nice actually, but might not be ideal for all subjects. I wonder if it's the same thickness as Supra ?

I think it is the same thickness. You can control contrast by adding sodium sulphite, but not saturation.

Just out of curiosity, what is the likelihood of someone, or maybe a group of people, being able to make a color emulsion in their home? Is there something that simply makes it impossible for the individual to do, or is it just not worth the effort to try it?
