I just got a 4x5 Super D today. The 190 ektar doesn't have any thread filter. I measured it, almost 43mm.
Which kind of filter can I put ? Snap on ? Would a filter holder fit ?
Any advice from Graflex owner ?

You can get a Kodak Series VII filter holder and use series VII filter. ( or is that Series VI, not sure) You might check over on graflex.org, there should be someone who would have the right answer.

Guillaume,

The Series VI filters are 43mm wide, the Series VII is 53. The adapter is the real issue. I have a 44mm series VI push on adapter I can send you for postage, and may even have a 43. PM me if interested.

By the way, that 190 Ektar is one of my favorite lenses on 4x5.

I have a Graflex Super D in 3-1/4x4-1/4. It has the 152mm Ektar. Series VII, 1-11/16 inch (42.5mm) Adapter ring. I believe that the 190mm Ektar takes the same.

I love the support on this board. I wasn't sure, but I felt that someone would have the right answer. My Series B 2x3 takes a Series VI adapter, not sure what diameter the adapter is.

The 127mm Ektar I have takes a Series VI. I sold a Series VII hood here a week ago for $10. Don't have a lens that large.

The Kodak Series VII 42.5mm adapter rings come up fairly often on eBay. One sold about two weeks ago.

I have some slip on filter adapters of various size. I will see if I have about 43mm in size. This is the outside diameter of the lens barrel?
