Shots 3 and 4 are simply wonderful. I'm really glad you're doing this. My sole reason for getting into LF was portraits. Landscapes are nice (I've seen some beauties), but when you get it right, the portrait will take my breath away.

Don't get me wrong I really do like landscapes

I agree, the Cooke is pretty amazing looking. But screw the lenses. When I come out your way I am going to steal that car!!!! Your friends Ford is very, very cool.

Oops, after looking again I have decided the Cooke lens really sucks rotten eggs. I think you need to put theat one up for sale. You would be far better off without it. Why don't you send it to me and I will give a good, long evaluation.

It really is better when folks buy all the expensive new junk thinking it's special.

Of course, having a sensibility for friendship and gentle light is important too.

Taylor, Taylor, Hobson "Cooke" Series IIb Portrellic 12 3/4" f4.5. At f8 for that with diffusion controller set at '3'.

A vote for the 14" f4.5 Heliar. I'm still learning but it does seem that good fortune smiled in that particular picture. It's also my favorite although of the group, the one of Rachelle is also a definite stand out. Thanks all for the kind encouragements.
