Hi,
Anybody use an Ektar (Kodak) enlarger lens? Can't find any info. Wanting to know the thread ... is it 39mm thread?

Also, someone mentioned "just get a board with a threaded 39mm". I can't seem to find any of those around.

Looks like Adorama has 23C lens board, Adorama brand, for $17 dollars.

The last time I used an Ektar enlarging lens it screwed straight into a British MPP enlarger, so it will almost certainly be 39 mm Leica thread.

Enlarger lens boards may not be described as "39 mm Leica thread" but this is the virtual standard for almost any lens which is physically able to fit into this size mount so will not be mentioned explicitly. If no size is mentioned, expect it to be 39 mm.

Hi there,

The old Ektar enlarging lenses had their own 'Kodak' threads. Be sure you get the flange ring for that size lens or you have to arrange something.

Looks like the seller said that it is "slighty" larger than his 39mm Beseler lens board. It does come with a board (2 3/8 x2 3/8 square) and its own retaining ring.

I'm wondering, I can probably trace out the retaining ring on a Beseler lens board and just file away at the difference. There's someone on ebay that makes/sells Beseler lens boards to 39 or 25mm. I emailed him to see if he can make one bigger.
