I'm seriously thinking about doing a bit of color work on Enduratrans (formerly Duratrans for some freakin' reason....Can't leave well enough alone can you Kodak....). Now, I have a nice (well...I have a working...well I have A...) RA4 processor I can use. I have heard I will need to reprogram the development times and all (well..the tech will), but anyone else use this stuff and have any hints?

It, as you know, requires longer development times. Many RA4 processors have a speed switch will accommodate the slower speed.

You probably know that it is backlit material. I think it is beautiful stuff. not everything looks good on it and the surface will scratch easily. It will need to be laminated to plexi, adhered or sandwiched in glass.

The is a another product called eduraclear which is also very cool it is a clear (non frosted) transparent material. I used this stuff at my last show.

The change from dura to endura is a result of Kodak changing their formula making it more archival.

Basically, you must double the developer and blix steps. Temperature is the same as paper process. I use a DURST RCP 40 VARIO SPEED, so I just had to figure out the speed rate to double the processing time.

Good luck!

Do any of you know a good site where I can get any of the Duratrans in either 16x20 or 20x24?
