Hello all,
I find myself with many, many rescued scanners in stock. I've never really advertised before as "word of mouth" has always been enough to keep me (last man standing for the Heidelbergs, as far as I know) globetrotting five continents. I've really enjoyed meeting so many cool photographers and can say with certainty that the Global Analog Photographic Community are some of the finest examples of humanity on the planet. Most all of you are passionate and down to earth, honest folks who are usually into nature (hiking, camping, boating), analog hi-fi systems, bicycles or motorcycles (or both) and carry a deep appreciation for art of all varieties.
The demographic is changing to a younger generation with all the same qualities, but I've realized I need to "get the word out". There's a definite trend with film-developing labs who have been able to monetize high-speed scanners very well (along with the darkroom equipment) and some want to offer the highest level of scanning services to their customers. If anyone reading this wants "museum quality" drum scans produced by a true Photo-Multiplier Scanner of the heavy-duty variety, I have at least fifty that need loving homes. I'm willing to make some deals in the coming months based on location. West Coast USA, East Coast USA, Europe, and even Australia / New Zealand are places where I have units available. I always provide a six-month Parts & Labor warranty and each unit is fully cleaned and lubricated to the core. I try to get them as "like new" as possible, while making the purchase experience enjoyable with zero surprises or disappointments.
Here is the breakdown on pricing:
Tango: $ 12,500 USD
Primescan D7100: $ 12,500 USD
Tango XL: $ 18,500 USD
Primescan D8200: $ 18,500 USD
Primescan D8400: $ 25,500 USD
Chromagraph S3400: $ 22,500 USD (incl. 3 drums & Silverfast Software)
I've also trained a young man to take the German Drum Scanning Service further into the 21st Century. His name is Philipp (27) and he's currently based in Munich. Please think it over and pull the trigger in the next few months if you've dreamed about scanning your film one pixel at a time (instead of thousands or millions). Yeah, it takes a while to finish a scan, but you can always do other things while it spins beautifully on its own.
Best wishes,
Karl
