I've been trying to get a certain tone to my prints that I've seen in professional darkrooms and can't figure out how they do it.

To my knowledge, the only affect AN glass carriers have on the final print is improved corner to corner sharpness. And, possibly, more dust spots to spot out

Would you please try and make this more specific? 'Tone' can mean several things, and I have a feeling you mean something else (subjective; idiosyncratic) altogether.

Also, is this about the color prints we're discussing in the other topic?

Sorry the examples in the other topic are not mine. They are the desired 'tone'. I guess you could call it style but it's hard to describe. Perhaps I'm talking about contrast and colour?
