Go ahead and move this or tell me where to go with this question.

Where are people getting 120 C-41 color negative film developed these days? Playing around with some Portra 400 and realized that I am not certain who to mail it to (nothing local to use).

Quick scans are fine but I will be doing my own 'real' scanning so not needed from the lab.

Thanks.

I've had good results from North Coast Photo Services (now "The Great American Photo Lab") in Carlsbad, CA.

I’ve used a number of online services—the Darkroom, FIND lab, and reformed film lab.I’m not sensitive enough to color to comment on the quality of development, but generally I’ve been happy. I know also that Blue Moon (site sponsor) has c41 dev and I think the do optical printing if you want enlargements.

Just about any intact photo store that develops and prints using Frontier, Noritsu, Agfa etc shouldn't have any problems. Only hiccup would be if negative is larger than 6x7 the lab would need to use a different scanner.

I would be reluctant to "tell you where to go" Dan 😁 .
But the thread has been moved to the Colour film sub-forum.
A "Commercial Film Processing Options" sub-forum might actually be a good idea.

I've never had a lab develop C-41, on occasion I've had a lab do E-6. I settled on preferring to do both at home with kits. Have you developed B&W at home? It really isn't any harder, as long as you have a sink with a hot water source. About $2 per roll compared to $10.

Film from labs has had more problems with random gunk getting getting on it as well. They tend to charge extra to sleeve the film, and for shipping, more than is reasonable. And they didn't always follow instructions.

I recognize there are reasons that not everyone can do this at home so please ignore this if that's the case.

For years I have been using Precision Camera and Video in Austin Texas for C41 processing and high resolution scanning, both 135 and 120 film. And I have gotten consistently good results.

I did try Dwayne's for C41 processing 120 film once, but there were scratches. Their E6 processing of 135 was fine.

Nowadays I do everything at home.

Dan,
In the intervening years between my local lab closing down and me learning C-41 skills I sent a lot of my film to Old School in Dover, NH. Not a million miles away from you and they do everything from 110 to 4x5.
