cross processing labs in Hamilton/Toronto?

Cross processing is a technique which produces amazing results in my opinion. However, the lab I've been using is changing their technique slightly due to new machines, namely an increasingly digitised process. They used to simply process the film and give me a set of prints. I was able to choose the frame(s) I wanted enlarged and take the negatives back for enlargements.

Now, however, they have added a step which requires the negative to be scanned before printing and now, when I take my film in for processing, I must order a CD on which all of the negatives will be scanned. I must order the CD quality according to the size of enlargement I may want after I see the prints, which I will still get.

I have been informed that they can no longer make enlargements for me unless I get this CD. I am quite disappointed, as I have begun to exhibit such prints in public art galleries.

My issue with this is that the CD will cost a significant amount of money and I will have to order it before seeing the results, which by nature of cross-processing, are very unpredictable.

I am also concerned that the digital equipment may flatten or try to alter the uniqueness of the cross-processed colours.

THe cost per roll of film to process it, have a set of 4x6 prints made, and have a CD made, will be close to $100 Canadian dollars. That is without any enlargements.

I would like to see if there are any other labs that I can work with.
Does anyone know of any labs in the Toronto to Hamilton corridor in Ontario, Canada that
1 - don't require scanning the negatives onto CD?
2- do traditional cross processing?

I really appreciate any leads you all may provide.

Stechein Labs in Toronto closed last week. They were one of the best E6 and C41 labs in Toronto. Because of this I have decided to upgrade my services in C41 process. We will be doing full run process for colour negative in the next few weeks. One shot chemistry no replenishment Jobo runs using Fuji Chemistry.
Our runs will consist of 6 35mm at a time, 8 120 at a time, 10 4x5 at a time, 5- 8x10 at a time , 2- 11x14 at a time or 1- 16 x 20 at a time,
We feel our methods will be very clean and accurate as is our Black and White Processing.
Cross processing is no problem and we welcome your full run orders.

THanks for all your suggestions. I am only working on one film at a time though. Does anyone have any suggestions for a lab that will cross process one film at a time? And produce great prints?
