I have been thinking about doing some photography for a desert racing club. I am a little unsure about what fl to get... I can get as close as I dare to the bikes, it isn't like I need to shoot through a fence or anything. Anyone else have experience with this? I am also curious about what people think of the contax tele tessar lenses.

Sorry - Contax implies 35mm. For my RTS-III long lenses I have CZ Sonnars and Vario Sonnars - but no tele-Tessars.

For my Pentacon 6TL I have the CZJ 180mm and 300mm Sonnars (I also occasionally use these lenses on the RTS-III).

The 180/2.8 is great.

The only 200mm lens I have any experience with is the lens I own..a 200mm Apo-Sonnar. A very fine, very heavy lens that is unfortunately expensive.
