I keep reading bits and pieces about various films. Some apear to have long tonal scales or strait line vs shouldering in the highlights, etc. ad nauseum. Almost never do you get what they are compared too.

Is there a compiled list any where which compares the sensiometry of current B&W films and notates their characteristics?

Thanks. Very helpful once I figured out how to navigate. I would like to see more examples with other films and Pyro developers.

Reading Norwegian isn't too bad in that some words are similar to english or can be figured out when looking at the differences between two curves.

Go to http://fotoimport.no , click the picture.

Then select "Sort/hvit film", then "Se våre nye fremkallertabeller med kurver".
It should be fairly easy from there.

The data on BW papers are also good, select "artiklene under s/hv fotopapir" on the same page. He also comments on combinations of film/developer/paper for special purposes, and how the curves interact.

Maybe I'll try to convince him to get it translated to English
