My Chromegatrol unit on my D5-XL works fine and all, but of course I'm limited to certain time increments ... only up to 9.9 seconds before I hit full second intervals. Its not a huge deal, but I'm also assuming this thing will die one day so I'm planning ahead.

Anyhow, just wondering what the alternatives are for powering the Dichroic head and using a better timer.

And please, don't say "put the condenser head on." :D

Any timer will work with the older stand-alone power supply with the non-ferroresonant transformer (412-021). You could pick one up as a spare.

Dear 5stringdeath,

Most timers have that same limitation. I think the GraLab 555 timer can control to 0.1 second up to 60 seconds.
