If you've got the money, a Sachtler would be more than adequate. From my simple 810 work I think you will need a second tripod or at least additional support in order to get a properly stable system though.

CF tripod? You want that one we looked at at PMA--Gitzo GT5540LS. I've been very happy with mine. For big cameras and long lenses I use it with an Arca-Swiss B2.

I use a Gitzo 3540 xls for my 11x14 and have had complete success with it, It's the only tripod I use for everything..EC

Was hoping to find a manufactured product with specs for ulf.

Still not clear what you need the carbon fiber for. Do you need manufactured CF sheets for building a ULF camera or do you need a tripod manufactured from CF to support a ULF camera?

If it is a tripod, get a Gitzo CF. I have one in a smaller than ULF size, but I find it light, durable, very solid, and fast when needed.

Thanks Dave..that was what I was trying to remember..I thought we had seen one with some impressive specs. I ve been using the old majestic
