Anyone know where the film starting position is on these? I cannot find any dots or arrows etc inside.

I notice an 8x10 Linhof BI on e-bay. I have a 4x5 BI and is probably the finest Linhof ever built

Good Evening, Mark,

I have A C2 which I got in the mid-'70's; it's the all metal version. I understand that the newer ones are partly made of plastic. Anyway, on mine, the pressure plate has two small, slightly elongated holes (about 1/4 inch wide) about half an inch from the roller. The film is advanced until the arrow tips show through the holes; then the back is closed and the film wound until it stops for Exposure #1.

Sounds right to me. I haven't used mine in a few years - actually, I haven't used my camera ina few years. Gotta get more active and start shooting more often!!

Good Morning, Mark,

Just one addition to my original post here: After closing the back, turn the film advance knob to "S" before cranking to the Frame 1 position.

Good Evening, Gary,

Thanks for adding the information about 220 and including the link to Calumet. My C2 has only the 120 holes (although the counter on the knob goes to 20) and I've never had occasion to use it for 220. I have no idea where I've put the instructions which came with my C2 and that info could come in handy someday.

Konica.

Thanks much for this tip, for some reason the semi obvious escaped me.
If I put it away for too long I'll forget again.
Apologies for the late thank you but for some reason one of the two computers here refuses to connect to this site

thanks

Mark
