Hi,

can anyone tell me if the SQAi motorwind, (or earlier models) are compatible with the SQB?

I've had a look at the Bronica site but have been unable to find a statement that says it is, or, for that matter one that says it isn't.

Thanks in advance

Martin

It's been my understanding the SQB was deliberately built without all the electronic hookups to keep the cost down. I wouldn't count on it being 100 percent compatible, though I couldn't find my old sources either to be sure. Seems a lot of information is falling off the web as the camera series has been discontinued.

Your quite correct in that the B has very little electronics, only the shutter speed is electronic and for example, while you can fit a metering prism finder physically to the body, it wouldn't meter. However a motor wind doesn't necessarily have to have an electrical connection to the body to work. I don't know how the motorwind is designed to work, if it relies on contacts to the body, there aren't any so it won't work, if not then it might work (with the B that is).

Thanks
