Yesterday I finally got offical entrance into this part of the message birth, I am now the proud dad of a crown graphic (brings tears to my eyes lol) anyway, I'm sure my post here will be limited to the ignorant 35mm/120 used who doesn't know the joy or 4x5 BUT I am super excited to get out and start shooting. In fact I plan on taking it up to Jim Thorpe, PA to shoot.

thanks for listening to my little rant

Well, I'll see your rant and raise you an off-topic story.

My next door neighbor saw me with my mini-speed, and has been telling me stories ever since. Seems he was the photographer for his high school paper. Well, his high school was in Oklahoma, near wear Jim Thorpe was born. When Thorpe died, and was sent back for a funeral, the real newspaper photographer in town was sick, so, yup, my neighbor was sent to capture the train coming in and all. He ended up with photographs in Life magazine out of it--or so the story goes.

Congrats! Welcome to a whole new world. A world that offers a host of exquisite opportunities to screw up. Have fun and let us see some results.
