Hi All,

Just to let you know I'm working on getting a content management system installed for apug. When people submit content the current publishing method is to build a web page for it and manually publish it (time consuming, and not very practical if we want to add more content to the site). The new system will allow 'article style' content to be added via a web browser using a few clicks of the mouse. I have most of it installed and hope to finish it off in about a week. Thanks

The content system is installed and slightly configured. Just needs some tweaks and we'll be up and running! On entering the content site apug members can sign on to be article contributors. You then have an account which allows you to submit your content via a web browser. I then have a look at it, click approve, and it's up

We've needed something like this for a while. I really want to get moving on the original articles part of APUG. Will have another update this weekend..

Ok, well the system I initially installed was an older version listed as a 'stable version'. After looking at the new 'beta' version I've decided to use that because of added functionality. It's installed and the look has been changed to match apug. I just need to migrate the old articles to it, and write a tutorial for anyone who would like to submit articles. It's pretty easy. You basically register an account (which consists of entering your name and email address). You then logon and click 'Submit Article'. You then get a browser interface that lets you ad text, images, text format, etc. Then click submit, done. Works really nice. I plan to launch it by next weekend.
