5k starting bid for a camera which is 'like' the ones used in space*, uses a film type that is being deprecated and comes with a buyer premium of 22.5%.

*Its like buying a Indy Pace car replica.

Exactly. If that thing actually was one of the blads that were used by astronauts, it would be a pretty cool (collectors) item. But a like new one which never was in orbit, not even one scratch from dropping it onto the moon's surface... boring :wink:

Don't kid youself, you do it and then some, everytime you buy something. It is just buried in the cost of the goods. In this situation it has been unbundled so you can identify it when you make your purchase. Bill Barber
