Yesterday at a local flea market there was a small camera sitting on a tripod. It was a "view" camera in that it had a ground glass for composing which would pull out of the way for inserting a film holder. It would have taken a 4"x5" holder at the largest. It had red leather bellows, swing, tilt and rise all on the moveable front standard (IIRC). Everything would have folded into a box which closed fully for transportation. The tripod was so dainty as to be considered "delicate" with thin little legs (fully adjustable) and brass hardware which has turned brown with the patina of age. It was just a pretty setup and in very nice shape. The only name that was on it was something like "Canada Camera co." or "Canadian Camera Co." The asking price was $135.00 cdn. I don't want it, but I am curious about it. Would anyone have any ideas about its origins?
