For what it is worth, I finished up the profile I needed for the HCP workshop that had its first session last night. Here is the QTR profile I developed for this printer that seems to be working pretty well. It is slightly different in that the max UV density it generates is a little lower than the previous profile I posted for the 2200. The reason for this is that I am lazy. I just did not feel like starting over once I got this thing close to linearized. So that means that it is going to be a little more sensitive to overexposure than the 2200 profile.

Tests were done on pictorico, and the output aimed at a pure Pd print on Weston Diploma Parchment with no restrainer or contrast agent in the ferric oxalate. Use and abuse as you wish.

The attachment has the same issue as the previous post in that the forum does not accept .qidf as a valid extension. Thus it it posted with a .txt filename extension. Download it and change it back to .qidf before using.

It is photo black. I mistakenly thought the printer had matte black loaded when I first printed a test strip. I found out later that it is photo black. Forgot to change the name in the profile.

Clay,

I notice in the qtr profile you name it "2400_mK3a" but the file is named "UC2400pk.txt". Could you clarify if the pk or mk ink used? Thanks!

Clay,

If the profile does not give quite enough density as the one you created for the 2200 one could just bump the Ink Density setting up a bit in the QTR dialog box. That worked really well for me in printing on the FotoWarehouse OHP, which gave for some reason a much lower maximum UV transmission density than when printing on Pictorico. I add +20% and now get almost identical negatives as when printing on Pictorico.
