Nice pictures, Jorge!

It's good to see even more counterbalance to digimania, but why didn't it say that they were Platinum prints?

Ah man, I REALLY want to buy this issue! It probably won't make it to NZ for months. If anyone can scan Jorge's entry and email it to me admin@apug.org
that would be great. Go Jorge!

Thanks guys! I am also thrilled!...Thanks to Ailsa...The more I see of the magazine the more I like it. I also have to say that the printing is very close to the prints. I was pleaseantly surprised!

Ah...I think it was my fault, when I answered the questions I failed to specify they were pt/pd prints, I only mentioned the paper I used to print them. I am happy anyways...

Phill - don't send one out to Sean that you've had to pay for - I'll do it for free! (If Sean could send me his address I'll stick it in the post today).

Oops! Apologies about the platinum ommission. Even if Jorge did forget to mention it in his replies, I should have realised and made sure it went in. Slapped wrists for me.

What! Are you turning down a sale? What about your circulation figures
Seriously, it is very gracious of you. I thought it was the least I could do considering the 'pleasure' I get from APUG

Sean

The lovely Ailsa has offered to send you one hot off the press so I will send you something another day.

Fort Worth,
Was just at the bookstore (Borders) and looked the October B&W magazine. Either Jorge is using a alias or you people are talking about a completely different publication. Went through the index and didn't see a familiar name in the October issue index. What gives?

Maybe you were looking at B&W Magazine, and not Black & White Photography? I got them confused once...

Well that could be. I did a Google search and that was the only thing to came up. Then , at Borders, that was the closest title (B&W). Guess I'll have to check a few more stores. Thanks for the info.

Ailsa is the editor of a British mag called Black and White Photography. I think that is the mag in question since she offered to send Sean a free mag. She has a lot of pull at her mag but I doubt that much at the other mag. I realize it is confusing.

Barnes and Noble carries this magazine here in the States. But more importantly, what issue are you talking about? I picked up the September issue on the way to work this morning, and Jorge was nowhere to be seen ... The issue I bought is a 'Special Issue' on The American Landscape. Is it an earlier issue or the October issue I should be looking for? If it is the earlier issue, I need to beg Ailsa for another copy.

Maybe the British mag should just change its name to _White and Black_, since they say "10x8" and "5x4" over there.

It is the September issue of Black and White photography, not to be confused with the american published B&W magazine.
From what I understand the british magazine runs from the middle of the month. IOW the September issue came out on Sept 18, and I suppose the October issue should come out around Oct 18....I guess...

Well, it is a British publication. With an Ailsa as editor. Now if only someone will find a U.S. distributor, I'll be glad to buy a copy.

Barnes & Noble should carry it, look for a magazine with an Ernts Haas picture of a cowboy dodging a horse standing on its two back legs on the cover.
