Just a quick note to the apuggers in the North Texas area - we are truly lucky folks - went the the Amon Carter to see couple of exhibits - "Copper, Silver, and Mercury: The Daguerreotype Process Defined" and "Sights Once Seen: Daguerreotyping Frémont's Last Expedition through the Rockies" by Robert Shlaer - Shlaer's has 100 dag's he made tracing the Fremont trip.
Well worth the trip to see and starting next week, "An Artistic Legacy: Photographers' Archives at the Carter" with works from the likes of Carolotta Corpron, Nell Dorr, Laura Gilpin, Eliot Porter, Erwin E. Smith, and Karl Struss.
