A day shooting in Carlingford in December.

Any apugers up for a days shooting in Carlingford County Louth?

I have to go up there anyway to collect something early in December and I'll have a full day free for photography.

For anyone who has never been there, Carlingford is a lovely medieval town situated between Carlingford Lough and Sleive Foye mountain. There is so much to photograph with fishing boats at the pier, sailing boats at the marina, King John's Castle and drives through the mountains etc.

There are plenty of B&B's as well as the Four Seasons hotel if anyone wants to stay over, which I probably will be doing myself.

I can go on Saturday 5th or 12th December so if anyone is interested let me know which date is good for you.

sounds like a very good idea. i am free both saturdays, not sure about the overnight bit yet but count me in, regards june

I'm booked into McKevitt's Hotel ( 042 9373116) for 4th Dec.@ 60 euro for B&B. 4 Seasons was a bit rich for just one nights stay. No backing out now.

Mc Kevitt's is nice, great food and very central (if there is such a thing as very central in Carlingford!)

There's a great little coffee shop just across the street from Mc kevitts, Dans, I think it's called. Might be a good meeting point? Just a suggestion.

Yea Dan's is a nice little spot with lovely cakes :munch:

I'll probably be staying in the Four Seasons on the Friday night but I'm happy to meet in McKevett's or anywhere else for a few pints. Would make a nice apug Christmas party if a few folks are staying in the town that night.

O'Hares is a good pub so I suggest those who will be in Carlingford on Friday night can meet there. It will be around 9pm when I get there. It's just down from McKevitts.
