Has anyone adapted a 9x12 Patent Etui to take 4x5 film holders or a Grafmatic back? I am picturing some kind of adapter plate. Of course I would not want to permanently alter the camera. I read that someone did it on the camera builder's forum but the email link was dead. I would like to see a picture.

I know I would lose some film area. The new back would probably have to be set back a few millimeters from the old film plane to make it work. The front standard would then have to be moved back to refocus on infinity.

Can the Patent Etui accept other lenses? What is the widest lens it can accept without the rails getting in the picture? What is the longest lens it can take comfortably? I read that there are some very rare bayonet mounted 9cm and 15cm lenses out there for this camera.

Ole: I am guessing you have at least two Patent Etuis, am I right?
