Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has scanned 35mm and then created a large digital neg from it for contact printing. How did it turn out? What kind of quality are you getting?

I'm having a really nice time experimenting with 3-color and gum right now but there are lots of roll film images id like to try it on.

Don't see any reason not to use scanned 35mms for digital negatives. I have done a few. Here's one - a Cenennial POP from a Kodachrome original (middle one in the top row.)

No different from scanning and printing on paper. Particularly if you doing gum printing with tends to "pictorialize" the image, it would be hard for anyone to know the source of the original image.
