The issue with processing E-6 in obscure sizes is that the equipment (hangars) that hold the film probably don't exist. I suppose one could put a 4x10 sheet in an 8x10 hangar, but it would probably come out in the first developer. The hangars would have to be modified with some additional film clips or restraints. Have you considered shooting your E-6 as full 8x10 sheets with a 1/2 dark slide in your 8x10 camera, then cutting the transparencies in half after processing to make 2 4x10's?

Duggal might do it, but it won't be on their standard list of services. Give them a call or send an e-mail. www.duggal.com

Why don't you give Christopher Burkett a try? He specializes in 8x10 and 4x10 landscape/nature photography. I'm sure he could definitely give you an answer. If you do find out please share it with us. In the future I am considering the move to 8x10 with 4x10 capabilities.

e-mail him at info@christopherburkett.com

Cheers,

I used to run it at a lab in Balto but we had an ancient roller transport machine. You might find one or two left in the country but even that is questionable today. I would suggest shooting 2 up on 8x10 trans w/ a splitter back if you are serious about doing alot of 4x10 e6. Or you might find it easier to locate a lab that runs a roller trans c-41 or just process it yourself.

I have my 4x10 E-6 done by DataChrome in Irvine Ca. Phone: 949-863-0873. She uses 8x10 hangers for 4x10 and it cost $5 a sheet but she does very nice work. Also Pro Photo Connection in Irvine can do it for the same price and also does nice work. 949-250-7073
