2007 SILVER CONFERENCE

Dear Apuggers,

Just a reminder that along with CALUMET PHOTOGRAPHIC we are once again sponsoring the SILVER Conference. It takes place March 30th to April 1st at the College of Design Art Center in Pasedena California.

We will have a great line up of speakers, including Keith Carter, Sally Gall, Michelle Dunn Marsh, Ken Rosenthal, John Sexton, Mary Virginia Swanson and more, photographers and printers of all levels will benefit from lectures, workshops, one-on-one discussions. One of the main reasons for posting was that we have a special early registration fee of $ 225 that has now been extended to February 18th.
The registration fee also entitles the attendee to 3 entries free of charge in the various print competitions.

Also we have links to various Hotel Partners, including the HILTON Pasedena where single or double occupancy rooms are available from $ 124.00 per night.

Many people made mention last year of the $ 300 attendance fee, as you can see we have worked very hard to reduce the registration fee and of course this will only cover our direct expenses and costs, it is a non-profit making venture.

I do hope that many Apuggers will be able to attend and that I will have the opportunity to meet up with you personally.

We would love to do one in the UK or Europe in the future, it takes such a lot of resource, time and effort to organise we have concentrated on the USA at first.

Kevin and I will be there, As per our discussions with Veronica C , we are bringing samples with us as for the Hilton Ballroom, as well we will be submitting quite a few prints for the print competition.
Laura , Barney the wonder dog and I will be leaving on the 18th of March and travelling down to Silver. Stopping in Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico on the way. 21 days away from the darkroom, I am really looking forward to the Conference, hopefully we will be able to consume a few pints together.
