2 x 120 film in Paterson tank

Very simple question.
I can fit two 120 films on the spiral in my Paterson tank. To save time is it OK to use the same quantity of developer at the same dilution for the same time and temp. that I would use for one film for both Paterson FX39 diluted 1:9 and ID11 from stock to 1:3? In other words will two films use up all the developing agent.

you can use the same dilution rate, same time and temp. However, you must be sure the volume of liquid, all liquids cover both reels.

If i remember correctly with the paterson tank, you will need 12oz of liquid for each reel (120 size)

Ilford says that with one liter of stock solution of ID-11 you can process 10 rolls of 135- 36 or 10 120. When I use ID-11 I always use 100ml of stock solution for each film. I do one shot process.If you reuse the developer you have to compensate with more time.

Check the ILFORD website there is more specific info about powder developers.

With a 1+3 ID11 dillution you will run a serious risk of not having enough developer in your tank. I am not able to find the right data sheet at the moment, but my guess is that you'll need at least 100 ml of developer per film as with D76 and XTOL.

It's an obvious deduction from the info. on the data sheets. ie 100ml per film. So 500ml( tank capacity) of stock and 1:1 ID11 will be OK but not 1:3.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I'll go to the Ilford web site first in the future - like I'm going to do now to work out reciprocity corrections for Pan F and Delta 100!
