For anyone in the U.K. - there's a great little series on at the moment in the Guardian/Observer every day for a week - second day today - yesterday was the 1910's and '20's, today is the 1930's, tomorrow the '40's etc. Quite a nice resource to keep.

Hello - yes, tomorrow is the '40's, Wednesday the '50's etc. It started yesterday and continues all week and next weekend - would have been better to post yesterday but I didn't think about it....
The photographs/photographers (quite a few "anonymous") have been chosen by a pretty eclectic group of people/organisations - I think it's well worth looking out for. Each decade (two decades for yesterday's edition) comes as a separate leaflet/booklet.

Yes, I get the Guardian on Saturdays so I saw that one. I raised an eyebrow to the comments on Jacques-Henri Lartigue's famous photo of the racing car tilting forward with the onlookers tilting backwards (p.8). The Guardian's sports photographer didn't know how that effect was caused. Nevertheless, a nice supplement. Looking forward to the later ones from the '60s onward.
