And the Aboriginals crossed an land bridge from Asia to Australia 65,000 years ago and they are still called indigenous. So you point missed the mark. :surprised:
Wow, you really know how to take something simple and make it complex and a real burden. With your approach it would take two days to start a car. When using TTL or for that matter any reflectance meter, meter without the sky. Gee so simple. Then if you find that you want more...
Actually I understand it well, but with the modern films, their wide latitude of exposure and variable contrast paper, there is very little is any need for the expansion and contract using N+i or N-i development and if ever needed a little darkroom technique can replace it. The Zonistas love...
You are correct. It is not that complicated, but the Zonistas like to make it a drawn out pseudo religious procedure that includes endless testing and very invasive body probes.
We are now coming out of the low part of the 11 year Sun Spot cycle. The greatest recent high was in the IGY 1957, it has nothing to do with vacuum tubes or transistors.
I found the 60mm is too close to the 80mm lens. The 50mm lens is great for urban shots. So is the SWC, but that requires Sirius Money [a relative of mine].

I did not start LF photography with a spot meter and I would recommend not using a spot meter when starting LF. Instead concentrate on composing, focusing, general exposure, then tilts and shifts. Once one is comfortable with those, then consider using a spot meter if and only if one wants to...
If I was you, I would shoot a roll of black & white film and use these chemicals to develop it. Results:
It works and you love it.
It works and you hate it.
It does not work.
You are stuck inside anyway, so what do you have to loose?
If XTOL is sealed in bottles without air, it can last for years. The advantages of replenished XTOL is smoother tonal transitions on changing surfaces, sharper images and even finer grain. In short it enhances its best features.
Yes I could estimate the exposure, however after using light meters for decades for slides, I am well practiced in the art of metering and I would rather use a meter than blow a photograph, especially if I will only be there once. Indoor or dim lighting is always tricky so I use a meter and do...
